Welcome to our homestead! Our family has lived here since the 1700’s and we’re mighty proud of that. We were proud enough to start our own museum here in 1913. We collected so many important artifacts from America’s past that the U.S. Government wanted to put a 500 year lease on the collection. Imagine! That spurred us on to produce some pretty unusual buildings. Our principal purpose was to have something distinctive on the grounds that visitors could enjoy.
